Every year at Kings Academy, we build small businesses from the ground-up.

Entrepreneurship
Children's Business Fairs are a tradition of Acton Academies all over the world. They are the largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America.
-
Meaningful Experience
Each year we will host a Fair in Tyrone. Open to children all over the surrounding areas, Children's Business Fair gives kids the opportunity to be entrepreneurs- boosting their confidence, teaching valuable lessons, and giving them an experience they will never forget!

Real World Skills
At Kings Academy, we spend a full session building a business from creating a concept, calculating overhead and revenue, production, and packaging. Students sell their products to the public and take home real profits.
BASIC RULES & GUIDELINES
The CBF will establish a FIRM cap of participants based on location and resources.
The CBF will take great care to limit the number of businesses in specific categories so as not to have too many similar business concepts.
If an applicant’s business idea is similar to entries that were accepted before the applicant’s submission, the CBF will notify the applicant and provide the opportunity to resubmit a new application.
Applicants must be between the ages of 6 - 14 on or before the APPLICATION OPEN date.
All entries will be automatically entered in the business competition, and booths will be judged on a variety of criteria, including most original business idea, highest business potential, and best presentation/creativity. (Judges will be invited and selected by each host.)
Cash prizes of $50 per category and age group (to be split among the business owners) will be presented at the conclusion of the fair.
No businesses requiring electricity or generators will be allowed.
No sale of weapons will be permitted.
A product or service must be rendered on the day of the fair.
Each booth consists of a 6-foot table, full-cover tenting, and 2 chairs. Table covers are not provided.
No more than 3 participants per booth/business idea.
Parents of younger children may sit in their booth, but the children are to be responsible for setup, sales and interacting with the customers.
This event is designed to give children a taste of selling a product. Please let them have that experience.
Any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the child’s product will result in disqualification from the competition.
